Most of Christianity is claiming that they have an eternally loving God that also will eternally burn and torture people that disobey Him.  This is what theologian Francis Chan (who wrote a whole book about the validity of a torturing hell:  Erasing Hell) called “divine justice”.  But is this the God we serve?  Is He a God that loves us yet has a lingering whipping stick above us whenever to keep us in line?
