What does God expect from us when we are called to do something?  How should we go about doing what God wants of us?

The parable of the Unjust Manager is, to put it mildly, a strange parable.  It is the last place you would expect to find answers to such questions.

What if this parable is actually a detailed map to how we should work to do what God wants of us - - by pointing us to learn lessons from whom we would least expect?
